MOSCOW, August 3 (Itar-Tass) —— The Russian Defense Ministry confirms the possible visit of Russian supply ships from the combined naval group to the Syrian Mediterranean seaport of Tartous for replenishing reserves of Russian warships before their voyage to the Black Sea.
“Bearing in mind the possible voyage of the combined group of the Russian Navy to the Black Sea, which implies a longer voyage, the command will plan the replenishing of reserves either from supply ships at the sea or with the reserves of the Russian logistics base in Tartous to be brought by the same supply ships,” a source at the ministry’s information department told Itar-Tass on Friday.
