MOSCOW, August 3 (Itar-Tass) —— Excise duties on beer and all alcoholic drinks should not be higher as fixed in the budget drafts, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich said on Thursday after a meeting of the government.

“So far, there are no actual resolutions to increase excise duties on various types of alcoholic beverages, including beer, first of all, because more consultations on the matter are needed within the Customs Union [of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan],” he said.

“I believe that excise duties on all alcoholic drinks, beer, everything that contains alcohol, must not grow higher that in the current budget drafts,” Dvorkovich stressed and added that consultation with partners are needed before taking such decisions.
