MOSCOW, August 2 (Itar-Tass) — A police officer has been wounded in a car explosion in Buinaksk, Dagestan, an official of the press centre of the Russian Interior Ministry said.
The explosion took place at about 7:30 MSK in Gorky Street. “According to preliminary data, an explosive device went off under the district policeman’s car. As a result, the police office was wounded and rushed to hospital,” said the ministry official.
An investigative team has been working at the scene to clarify the circumstances of the incident.
There was another crime against a police officer committed in the republic late on Wednesday. Officer of the SORB special police unit, 35-year-old police lieutenant Magomed Ramazanov was shot dead by unidentified gunmen in the Komsomolsky settlement of the Kizilyurt district of Dagestan. The investigation is underway.
