LONDON, July 30 (Itar-Tass) —— The Russian gas giant Gazprom became the most profitable companies in the world economy. According to the results of work in 2011, it occupied the first place according to the amount of its profits on the global list of the American Forbes Magazine. The rating was published in a regular issue of this influential in the business world magazine which is on sale on Monday.

Over the given period, Gazprom got a profit of 44.459 billion dollars. None of the world companies didn’t manage to work so effectively last year.

The biggest US oil company Exxon Mobil ranks second according to the given index. It got in 2011 the profit of 41.60 billion dollars. The Chinese bank Industrial and Commercial Bank of China with a profit of 32.214 billion dollars ranks third on the list.
