EMERCOM sends to Toms region two Be-200 and a heavy-lift Il-76 to put out wildfires

The aircrafts can drop at a time 42 tonnes of water

MOSCOW, July 28 (Itar-Tass) —— Russia’s EMERCOM sent additionally from Moscow two Be-200 aircrafts and a heavy-lift Il-76 to be used for extinguishing wildfires in the Tomsk region, EMERCOM’s press service said on Saturday.

Now, two Il-76 aircrafts are putting out fires there. The aircrafts can drop at a time 42 tonnes of water.

“One aircraft is directed to the Verhkneket region, where it has dropped already 40 tonnes of water on the fire, which is 15 kilometres to the north-east from Centralny village,” the source said.

The second aircraft will be used in Pervomaisky district for extinguishing of a localised wildfire, which is 13.5 kilometres from Ulu-Yul village.

Besides, two Be-200 aircrafts will be putting out the fire in the region.
