KHABAROVSK, July 27 (Itar-Tass) —— All wildfires are extinguished in the Khabarovsk Territory, local forestry reported adding that on Thursday and Friday, July 26 and 27, the outstanding four wildfires were put out in taiga.
A total of 65 forestry staff members and 19 machines were involved in extinguishing of fires.
The rains of several past days stabilised the situation in taiga and other regions.
However, the forestry specialises warn fire-fighters may face new fires after continuing thunderstorms.
Since the beginning of the season, in Khabarovsk Territory were 628 wildfires in taiga, which occupied 250,000 hectares.
The most complicated situation in the Far East still remains in Yakutia. The republic reports about 13 wildfires which occupy over 800 hectares.
