LONDON, July 26 (Itar-Tass) — A Russia Sochi Park opened at London’s Kensington Garden on Thursday.
Dmitry Chernyshenko, the president of the Sochi 2014 Olympic Committee, became a personal guide to its visitors.
The Russia Sochi Park’s opening ceremony was attended by Alexander Zhukov, the first vice-speaker of the Russian State Duma and president of the Russian Olympic Committee, and Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak.
“Billions of viewers in all continents will watch the Olympic opening ceremony in London. Russians have special interest in these games. We are going to host the next games in Sochi in almost 18 months from now. A great number of organizers of the winter Olympic Games, representatives of the Russian Olympic Committee and athletes are present here today. We are going to learn the experience in organizing such a big holiday,” Kozak said.
“Our mission is to show the country, the city and the image of future Winter Olympic Games,” Kozak emphasized.
