KRASNODAR, July 26 (Itar-Tass) —— The total damages from a devastating flood in the Krasnodar Territory reached no less than 20 billion roubles, Krasnodar Governor Alexander Tkachev said at a meeting of the territorial Legislative Assembly here on Thursday.
He noted that the flood damaged heavily the economy and the budget in the region. The budgetary policy should be revised cardinally, many articles of expenditures should be cut. “However, this will not be done at the expense of the social sphere,” Tkachev noted.
The deputies have introduced amendments to the territorial budget. Some 16.1 billion rubles will be allocated to clean up the aftermath of the flood in Kuban.
