Police detective killed in Dagestan

Another two people were injured

MAKHACHKALA, July 25 (Itar-Tass) — A police detective is killed during the investigative actions in Dagestan, another two people were injured on Wednesday.

An unidentified killer has made several shots in Senior Lieutenant of the Khasavyurt police department Khadzhimurad Omarov at about 11:45 Moscow time on Wednesday, a source in the Dagestani investigation department of the Russian Investigation Committee told Itar-Tass. The police officer died instantaneously. The search for the killer continues.

The regional branch of the Russian Investigation Committee opened a criminal case under two articles of the Criminal Code for the attempt of the life of a detective, who was conducting the preliminary investigation and the illegal turnover of weapons and ammunition. The leadership of the investigation department of the Russian Interior Ministry conveyed condolences to the relatives of the killed police officer.
