Progress supply ship to re-dock with ISS on July 29

The Progress M-15M supply ship which was earlier undocked from the ISS was to re-rejoin the orbital complex

MOSCOW, July 24 (Itar-Tass) —— The Progress supply ship is scheduled to re-dock with the International Space Station on July 29, a source from space mission control based in the Moscow region told Itar-Tass on Tuesday.

The Progress-M-15M supply ship which failed to dock with the ISS on Tuesday morning is to re-dock with the ISS at 5.00 am on July 29, according to a preliminary schedule, the source said. A final decision has not been made yet; experts have been conducting consultations yet as to what they should do with the supply ship, the source said.

The Progress M-15M supply ship which was earlier undocked from the ISS was to re-rejoin the orbital complex, but during its rapprochement with the ISS an extraordinary situation developed, and the docking of the supply ship with the ISS was cancelled.

When the supply ship was at a distance of approximately 15 kilometers from the ISS an emergency warning system on board the supply ship signaled a possible accident, which activated the "course" docking accident prevention system which moved the supply ship to a safe distance from the orbital complex.

If a decision to re-dock the supply ship to the ISS is made, and the re-docking proves normal the Progress supply ship will remain docked with the ISS until July 30; then, it will be finally undocked from the ISS and let into an autonomous flight for three more weeks, during which two scientific experiments will be made on board the supply ship.
