KIEV, July 22 (Itar-Tass) —— Three Russian nationals were injured in a bus crash in Ukraine’s Kherson region on Saturday night, a spokesman for the Ukrainian interior ministry said on Sunday.
According to the interior ministry, a Ford Transit minivan went off its lane to ram a passenger bus with tourists returning after vacations in the Crimea to Minsk, the capital city of Belarus. The accident took place at 105th kilometer of the highway linking Simferopol and Kherson. “After the collision, the bus went off into the ongoing lane, rammed another Ford Transit car and finally overturned,” the spokesman said.
The drivers of both Ford Transit cars, a passenger of one of them, and 28 people from the passenger bus were injured. “Among the injured bus passengers were 25 Belarusian citizens and three Russians. Six children were injured,” the spokesman said. In all, there were 46 passengers and two drivers in the bus.
Earlier, the Ukrainian emergencies ministry said that 35 people, including 32 Belarusians were injured in the crash. The Belarusian foreign ministry said the accident injured 43 Belarusian nationals, of whom 29 were hospitalized.
