3 persons injured in Yak-18 forced landing in Russia’s Lipetsk region

MOSCOW, July 22 (Itar-Tass) —— Three persons were hurt as a Yak-18 plane made a forced landing in the Lipetsk region in Central European Russia, a spokesman for the regional emergencies administration told Itar-Tass on Sunday.

“At about 15:00 Moscow time, a Yak-18 plane with four persons onboard made an emergency landing at an airfield in the Zadonsky district,” the spokesman said. According to the spokesman, the plane overturned as it touched the ground. No fire followed.

“Three persons were injured. They were hospitalized,” the spokesman said.

An investigation is underway.
