MOSCOW, July 22 (Itar-Tass) —— Russia’s Soyuz-FG carrier started successfully on Sunday.
Roskosmos reports the rocket carries five space apparatuses – two Russian Canopus-B and MKA-FKI, Belarusian BKA, Germany’s TET-1 and Canada’s ADS-1B.
Two space twin satellites Canopus-B and BKA will probe the Earth and will solve tasks connected with Belarus’ security, chief designer of the Belarusian Space System Sergei Zolotoi said before the launch.
In his view, the key task of the joint work by Russia and Belarus is obvious. “In order to take photographs of all territory of Belarus by one spacecraft it will be take 80 days. Two satellites do this work for 40 days so that Belarus’ statistics number up to 30 sunny days every year,” he noted.
According to Zolotoi, satellites will provide information to all interested agencies.
