MOSCOW, July 22 (Itar-Tass) — The Red Hot Chilli Peppers funk group will give a concert at the Luzhniki Big Sport Arena on Sunday evening. The American musicians are going to present their new album.
“This is Red Hot Chilli Peppers’ second visit to Russia. However, this is going to be their first solo concert,” the show’s organizers told Itar-Tass on Saturday.
“The musicians will certainly perform several songs from their jubilee tenth record, including ‘I’m with You’ and will please the audience with their best ‘drive’ songs. The people who will come to the concert will have a chance to hear live such megahits as ‘Scar Tissue’ and ‘Other Side’; lyrical acoustical interpretations of the ‘Road Trippin’ composition; feel the wild energy of ‘Give It Away’ or ‘Can’t Stop’. The organizers expect the concert to gather about 60,000 Red Hot Chilli Peppers fans.
Red Hot Chilli Peppers embarked on their ‘I’m with You Tour’ last year. The musicians have performed in the United States, Canada, Britain, Ireland, Italy, Spain, France, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, Japan, China, Chile, Argentina, Brazil, etc.
Their next stop after Moscow will be Kiev where they are going to give a concert on July 25.
The Red Hot Chilli Peppers group was founded in California in 1983. It comprises vocalist Anthony Kiddis, bassist Flea, guitarist Hillel Slovak and drummer Jack Irons. They’ve recorded ten studio records, received seven Grammies, sold 85 million album copies round the globe and topped the MTV, Billboard charts, etc.
