MOSCOW, July 20 (Itar-Tass) — Italian Fabio Capello, 66, the future head coach of the Russian football team, arrived in Moscow on Friday to sign his job contract.
Capello refused to meet journalists upon his arrival at Moscow’s Sheremetievo airport and left the building via the VIP exit.
Capello has reached an agreement with the Russian Football Union and is expected to sign his contract soon. His salary won’t exceed six million euro a year. This figure is much lower than the ones mentioned by various media outlets.
The Italian coach will be visiting the 1st round matches of the Russian national football championship in the next few days.
Fabio Capello said shortly before his departure to Moscow that he would start learning Russian soon.
According to his agent, Capello will permanently reside in Moscow.
Fabio who’s known to be a polyglot in the football world wants to hire a tutor who, he hopes, will help him master Russian in just a few months.
