An-2 with stalled engine plane makes forced landing on motorway in Khabarovsk Territory

There were no passengers onboard the plane, the two pilots were not hurt

KHABAKOVSK, July 19 (Itar-Tass) — An An-2 airplane made an emergency landing on a motorway linking the settlements of Elban and Mylki in Russia’s Far Eastern Khabarovsk Territory after its engine went dead in the air, a spokesman for the Far Eastern transport prosecutor’s office told Itar-Tass on Thursday.

There were no passengers onboard the plane. The two pilots were not hurt, the plane was slightly damaged.

According to preliminary information, the engine stalled because of an oil leak.

A check has been initiated.
