IRKUTSK, July 19 (Itar-Tass) — An Airbus-320 airliner owned by Russia’s Vladivostok-Avia made an emergency landing at Irkutsk Airport, the airport’s spokesman told Itar-Tass on Thursday.
Airbus-320 with 85 passengers onboard took off at 01:25 local time and should have made a flight en route Irkutsk-Khabarovsk.
Soon after the takeoff the plane’s chief pilot asked for landing. The plane safely landed, no victims were reported, the spokesman said.
According to preliminary information, autopilot breakdown was the reason for the emergency landing. The air carrier changed the plane for this flight.
