Putin signs decree on elimination of aftermath of Krasnodar flooding

Every citizen who permanently lives in settlements hit by the floods will be given one-time financial support worth 100,000 roubles

MOSCOW, July 17 (Itar-Tass) —— President Putin has signed a decree " On measures for elimination of after-effects of a natural calamity - flooding in the Krasnodar region," the Kremlin press service said on Tuesday.

The Russian government has been instructed to give one-time financial support worth one million roubles to families of the victims killed in the tragedy, and the administration of the Krasnodar region is to give financial support to such families in a similar amount, the decree said.

Every citizen who permanently lives in settlements hit by the floods will be given one-time financial support worth 100,000 roubles from the federal budget regardless of the number of members in a family. The administration of the Krasnodar region has been instructed to solve the problem of paying compensations worth 60,000 roubles to the above-mentioned category of citizens from the regional budget on similar terms.
