MAKHACHKALA, July 17 (Itar-Tass) — A senior investigator of the Interior Ministry’s investigative group for Dagestan’s Khunzakhsky district was killed in Makhachkala, the republic’s Interior Ministry told Itar-Tass on Tuesday.
At noon on Monday a 39 year-old resident of Makhachkala, whom police detected hot on the traces, stabbed with knife and made several shots at the investigator, who died of wounds in a hospital.
Police are combing the area to detain the criminal.
A criminal case was instituted on charges of the murder and illegal arms trafficking.
