UNSC discussions on Syria not reach deadlock – Lavrov

Discussions on the Syrian problem in the U.N. Security Council do not reach the deadlock

MOSCOW, July 16 (Itar-Tass) — Discussions on the Syrian problem in the U.N. Security Council do not reach the deadlock, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.

Speaking at a press conference on Monday, “I don’t believe that discussions on Syria in the U.N. Security Council reach the deadlock.”

“We do hope that we have a chance to come to agreement within what we consented to in Geneva,” the minister stressed.
