KRYSMK, July 16 (Itar-Tass) — Two thousands more residents of the flood stricken town of Krymsk in Russia’s Krasnodar territory should be vaccinated, chief sanitary doctor Gennady Onishchenko said.

“In general the vaccination program is close to completion. It was targeted at vaccinating all people affected by the floods – 12,980 adults and 6,490 children under 14 years of age,” he said at the meeting of the crisis centre noting that all children were vaccinated and 2,000 more men and women should be vaccinated.

In general, the sanitary-epidemiological situation in the area of distress is stable, Onishchenko said.

“The town has round-the-clock drinking water outlets. In general, Krymsk’s demand in water for normal operation is met,” he said.

The chief sanitary doctor also noted that over 500 children were taken to recreation facilities.
