NALCHIK, July 15 (Itar-Tass) —— A life attack was committed against deputy head of Kabardin-Balkaria’s investigations department Colonel Alim Babayev, a department spokesman told Itar-Tass on Sunday.

“An unidentified gunman opened gunfire at the colonel’s car when he was approaching his house. There was a small child in the car,” the spokesman said. The car was damaged but no one was hurt.

An investigation is underway.
