Every third household in Krymsk is to be cleared from dirt, debris

MOSCOW, July 15 (Itar-Tass) —— Slightly over a third of households in Krymsk now need to be freed of dirt and debris after the flood, press service of the regional centre of EMERCOM told Itar-Tass on Sunday.

"In the cities of Gelendzhik and Novorossiysk, which were also affected by heavy rains, the clearing of farmsteads have been completed. In Krymsk, we have cleared 100 percent of water drains, cleared debris of a total of 3,890 cubic meters off streets and homesteads of the city, evacuated dirt from 964 homesteads, and we are still to clear 157 farmsteads, which is 32 percent,"- the source said.

According to the press service, the flooding water is pumped out of 5,263 houses, and following requests water was pumped from 187 basements of houses.

In Krymsk, electric power supplies have been resorted almost fully. "Without electricity remain 500 people, which is only two percent. As yet one transformer substation is off," the press service reported.

At the same time, over 1,000 locals do not have gas supplies, which is one percent of the population.

"Water in Krymsk is restored in all areas of the city, the water meets health standards, partially without water remain five multi-storey houses with a population of 480 people", the source said.

In order to supply water to residents, the city organised delivery of drinking water with 24 tanks. "The interval of deliveries is 1-2 hours. During the day, we supply 700-1,000 tonnes of water. There is no deficit of it," the source said.
