Nine tourists hurt in road accident in Russia’s Irkutsk region

The accident occurred near the Khadai settlement in the Olkhonsky district of the Irkutsk region

IRKUTSK, July 15 (Itar-Tass) — Nine tourists, including two Germans, were hurt in a road accident in the Irkutsk region on Saturday, a regional branch of the Russian Ministry for Emergency Situations reports.

The accident occurred near the Khadai settlement in the Olkhonsky district of the Irkutsk region. “The bus driver who was carrying a group of tourists lost control of the vehicle at an ascent and the bus turned over to its side. There were 23 people in the bus at the time of crash. All of them are alive. Nine tourists were taken to hospital. They include three people from Angarsk, 4 people from Biysk and two German nationals,” the regional branch of the Russian Ministry for Emergency Situations clarified.
