Water supplies to Gelendzhik district partially stopped because of leak

MOSCOW, July 14 (Itar-Tass) —— Water supplies have been partially stopped to the Gelendzhik district in Russia’s southern Krasnodar Territory because of a leak in feeding water mains, a spokesman for the territorial emergencies administration told Itar-Tass on Saturday.

According to the spokesman, the leak was reported at the Troitsky aqueduct near Chernomortransneft oil refinery in Novorossiisk.

Water supplies have been suspended to Gelendzhik’s district with a population of 14,000, to the settlement of Kabardinka with a population of 12,000 and to 1,700 residents of the settlement of Maryna Roshcha, the spokesman said.

Repair works are underway.
