MOSCOW, July 14 (Itar-Tass) —— A Russian emergencies ministry airplane has brought two Russian nationals who were badly injured in a road accident in Ukraine’s Chernigov region a week ago to Moscow for further treatment, a spokesman for the Russian emergencies ministry told Itar-Tass on Saturday.
The Ilyushin-76 plane equipped with life-support medical equipment landed at the Ramenskoye airfield outside Moscow. The patients were accompanied by medics from the Centrospas rescue team and from the Russian Emergency Medicine Centre.
According to medics, the patients, a man and a woman, are in grave condition.
On Saturday, July 7, a bus with 41 Russian pilgrims heading from the town of Velikiye Luki in Russia’s Pskov region to Pochayev monastery in Ukraine got into a road accident near the settlement of Krasnoye in the Chernigov-Kiev highway. As many as 14 people died and 29 were injured in the accident. On July 8, twenty five injured people were taken to hospitals in Moscow and Pskov and three remained in Chernigov for health considerations. One of these three died on Friday.
