MOSCOW, July 14 (Itar-Tass) —— A fire that broke out early on Saturday at a munitions depot in Russia’s Nizhny Novgorod region has been extinguished. No one was hurt, a spokesman for the regional emergencies administration old Itar-Tass.
The fire started at 06:30 a.m. Moscow time in the settlement of Yuganets with a population of 2,700, some 40 kilometers west of Nizhny Novgorod. The fire area was 100 square meters.
People were not evacuated. No explosions followed the fire.
An investigation is underway.
