MOSCOW, July 14 (Itar-Tass) —— The Russian Orthodox Church has raised three million rubles for flood victims in the Kuban area.
“On July 9-12 the Synodal department for charity and social services and the ROC’s charity service collected 3,784,753 rubles in aid to flood victims in the Krasnodar Territory,” the Synodal department said on Friday.
The funds will be used to buy essentials and help volunteers go to Krymsk and other localities. The fund-raising campaign is continuing.
A third of the collected charity came from parishes, another third, from organizations, and as much, from individuals.
