LUKOIL ready to guarantee stable gasoline supplies to Russia’s regions

The filling stations will start selling car fuel of Class 5 (Euro 5) in the near future

MOSCOW, July 13 (Itar-Tass) —— One of Russia’s major petroleum companies LUKOIL is ready to guarantee sufficient supplies of gasoline in all regions of its activity, including Moscow and neighbour regions, the company’s press service published such a statement on Friday, in comment on mass media’s spreading rumours about possible deficit of gasoline and diesel fuel in the Moscow region and the city.

“The words and rumours of the kind have no grounds. That information disagrees with the real developments on the fuel market of the capital and the region,” the press service said. “In spite of a certain hike of prices by several traders, the company plans to continue fuel sales at the stable prices within the entire summer season at its filling stations,” the press service added.

The LUKOIL’s press service also reaffirmed that its filling stations will start selling car fuel of Class 5 (Euro 5) in the near future, adding that all oil refineries of the company were switched into the production of such a sort of gasoline back on July 1, 2012.

Main activities of the company are exploration and production of oil and gas, production of petroleum products and petrochemicals, and marketing of these outputs. Most of the company’s exploration and production activity is located in Russia, and its main resource base is in Western Siberia. LUKOIL owns modern refineries, gas processing and petrochemical plants located in Russia, Eastern and Western Europe, near-abroad countries.
