MOSCOW, July 11 (Itar-Tass) — Speaker of Russia's State Duma, Sergei Naryshkin shares the opinion of the majority of MPs that there is no need to move the facilities of the Parliamentary Center outside the Moscow Automobile Ringroad to the new areas that were added to the city earlier this year.

The Parliamentary Center is a project that should bring the two houses of parliament, the State Duma and the Federation Council, under the roof of the same building. At present, the Duma occupies for the building of the Soviet-era State Committee for Planning in a stone's throw from the Kremlin, while the Federation Council is located in the building of the former State Committee for Construction on Bolshaya Dmitrovka street.

Speaker Naryshkin's press secretary, Yevgeniya Chugunova, recalled that three of the Duma's four factions -- the United Russia party, A Just Russia party, and the Communist Party of the Russian Federation -- spoke against the proposals to relocate the parliament to the territories of the New Moscow.

"Mr. Naryshkin agrees with them," Chugunova said adding that he had informed President Vladimir Putin on the MPs' position.
