KIEV, July 11 (Itar-Tass) — The National Joint Stock Company Neftegaz Ukrainy has fully paid for gas supplied by Russia’s gas monopoly Gazprom in June 2012, Ukrainian Minister of Energy and Coal Industry Yuri Boiko told reporters on Wednesday.
“We fully paid for supplied gas in compliance with plans,” Boiko said, giving not the value of the payment.
Under the contract, for gas supplies for the preceding month Ukraine should pay within the first seven days of the next month.
The company’s press service gave no official information about the June payments in July.
In June 2012, Neftegaz Ukraine transferred Russia’s Gazprom 648 million U.S. dollars for May’s gas supplies.
