Water and gas supplies partially restored in flood-stricken Krymsk

Water supply resumed by 95 percent, around 2,000 people remain without water

MOSCOW, July 11 (Itar-Tass) — Electric power, gas and water supplies were practically fully restored in the flood hit town of Krymsk in southern Russia, the press service of the southern regional emergencies department told Itar-Tass on Wednesday.

“Electric power was restored to a total of 24,555 consumers, another 12,004 consumers (49 percent) remain without electricity. It is planned that electric power will be fully restored on July 12,” the press service said.

A total of 94 percent of consumers received gas, while over 4,600 people remain without gas supplies.

“Water supply resumed by 95 percent, around 2,000 people remain without water,” the source said.

Drinking water outlets were opened for residents of Krymsk and Novorossiysk.
