MOSCOW, July 10 (Itar-Tass) — Sixteen political parties will have the right to run in gubernatorial elections on October 14.
“The Russian Justice Ministry has notified the Central Electoral Commission that 16 political parties have met all the requirements set by law and can participate in elections on October 14,” Leonid Ivlev, the deputy head of the Russian Central Electoral Commission, said on Tuesday.
Ivlev added thatthe list included seven old-timers and nine newly-registered parties that are newcomers to the Russian political scene.
