In July after the Justice Ministry registered the special order of paying monthly bonuses to servicemen employed on a contract basis the finance structures of the Defense Ministry has been developing a practical order of turning over the established bonuses to certain categories of servicemen, it said.
A bonus worth 60 percent of a regular salary depending on a serviceman's rank and post is entitled to students of the Military Academy under the General Staff who have an excellent or good record during a month of tuition. Bonuses, envisaged for professors, teachers, and managing staff of military educational establishments and workers on staff of scientific research organizations, range from 3,000 to 7,000 roubles per month depending on a scientific degree. Bonuses paid to teachers of military disciplines and military experts with a bachelor's or a professor's degree amount to 40-60 percent of their salary, the source said.
Monthly bonuses worth from 15 to 100 percent of regular salaries are envisaged for servicemen who qualify for high degrees in sport.
