Over 1,100 people in flood affected area apply for medical aid

The flood affected 34,650 people, of them 20,000 fully lost their belongings and another 5,500 partially

MOSCOW, July 10 (Itar-Tass) — Over 1,100 people affected by the devastating flood in the Krasnodar territory, southern Russia, applied for medical aid, the press service of the southern regional emergencies centre told Itar-Tass.

“Of 1,137 people who asked medical assistance are 496 children,” the source said.

One hundred and ninety four people, including 26 children, were hospitalized and 943 people, including 470 children, receive outpatient treatment.

According to the latest information of the Emergencies Ministry, 171 people, including four children, were killed in the flood – 10 in Gelendzhik, 158 in Krymsk and three in Novorossiysk.
