FARNBOROUGH, Britain, July 9 (Itar-Tass) — Mikhail Slyusar, the deputy head of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Commerce, said on Monday that the SuperJet that had crashed during a demonstration flight in Indonesia early in May was in order. Russia and Indonesia will submit a crash report late this summer.
“We will try to finish the process by summer end and publish a report,” Slyusar said, adding that the Russian and Indonesian sides had almost finished the investigation.
“The plane’s technical state was not in question. The aircraft was in good order,” Slyusar emphasized.
He hopes that the crash won’t affect future contracts.
