Poland expressed readiness to provide assistance in liquidating the flood effects if necessary

WARSAW, July 9 (Itar-Tass) — Poland’s authorities expressed condolences to Russia over a devastating flood that hit the Krasnodar territory, southern Russia.

On Sunday Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski and Prime Minister Donald Tusk sent their letters of support to the Russian leaders.

“We deeply mourn for tragic consequences of the flood that affected the Krasnodar territory taking a heavy toll of human lives and causing serious material damage,” Komorowski wrote in his message to his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin. “In this difficult moment we express condolences to families and relatives of those killed and missing and wish the soonest possible recovery to those injured in the flood.”
