MAKHACHKALA, July 9 (Itar-Tass) — Russia’s Federal Security Service has averted a big terror act in Dagestan’s Kizlyar district and demined three makeshift explosive devices.

“On Sunday at a roadside near the village of Krasny Voskhod police found a makeshift explosive device made of a 10 liter zinc-coated bucket filled with ammoniac saltpeter and aluminum powder with destructive elements that were covered with sealing foam through which electric wires were pulled up to 250 meters,” the republic’s Interior Ministry told Itar-Tass on Monday.

Demolition engineers demined the device at the site.

On the same day policemen found in a forest area a cache of militants that included two makeshift explosive devices made of a zinc-coated bucket and three-liter paint bucket, 18 industrial electric detonators, 20 kilograms of an explosive mixture consisting of ammoniac saltpeter and aluminum powder, 1.5 kilogram of plastid and a 5-liter fire extinguishing cylinder with the upper part cut.
