Gelendzhik torrential rain death toll rises to ten

MOSCOW, July 7 (Itar-Tass) —— The torrential rain death toll in the Gelendzhik district, a Russian Black Sea resort site, has risen to ten people, the Russian Emergencies Ministry's information department told Itar-Tass.

Ten people died, a departmental source said.

It was reported earlier that eight people died. As the Emergencies Ministry’s regional department earlier said six people died in Gelendzhik. Five of them were killed by electric shocks. Two drowned in the village of Divnomorskoye.

Six people needed medical aid. Three will be treated as outpatients, and three were hospitalized.
