MOSCOW, July 6 (Itar-Tass) —— The Russian government hopes that by 2015 the country will have a zero deficit budget, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said at a meeting of the Cabinet on Friday.
Russia’s budget deficit in 2013 is estimated at 1.5 percent of the GDP, incomes, at 12.3 trillion, and spending, at 13.4 trillion.
“Nevertheless we have the right to expect that by 2015 we shall have a zero deficit budget,” he said. “Of course, in the final count everything will depend on the general situation in the world economy and the situation in our own economy.”
