Russian State Duma delegation to visit Baku on July 7-9

Sergei Naryshkin will hold bilateral meetings with President Ilkham Aliev and the speaker of the Azerbaijani parliament Oktai Asadov

MOSCOW, July 6 (Itar-Tass) — A State Duma delegation led by Speaker Sergei Naryshkin will pay an official visit to Azerbaijan on July 7-9, the Russian State Duma press service told journalists on Friday.

He will hold bilateral meetings with President Ilkham Aliev and the speaker of the Azerbaijani parliament Oktai Asadov.

“Special attention will be paid to developing inter-parliamentary ties between Russia and Azerbaijan,” the press service went on to say.

Naryshkin will also visit the Geidar Aliev Foundation, deliver a speech to the students of the Baku Slavic University and will hand in diplomas to the graduates of the Baku branch of the Moscow State University named after Lomonosov.

A joint meeting of the State Duma Committee for the CIS Affairs and Relations with compatriots and the Committee for International Relations and Inter-Parliamentary ties of the Azerbaijani parliament was held in Baku on Friday.
