PETROPAVLOVSK KAMCHATSKY, July 5 (Itar-Tass) — Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said he believes that Vladivostok was quite ready to holding the APEC summit scheduled for the beginning of September.
“I believe that as a whole the situation is quite normal to hold the APEC summit,” Medvedev told journalists after the trip to the Far East on Thursday.
“Most facilities are ready,” the prime minister explained.
He noted that there were any nuances, which “should be tied up loose ends”. “All facilities are fully ready for the summit,” he concluded.
According to the prime minister, he is very pleased that most facilities will be used by residents of the city upon completion of the summit.
“Life has become easier and more comfortable in Vladivostok. Until very recently for various reasons there has been even normal sewerage. That is why these are methods to improve life in the region and make living standards more comfortable for most residents. The funding has been provided for this purpose,” Medvedev stressed.
