Russian aid to South Ossetia to go through inter-agency commission

Commission specialists will work directly with South Ossetian colleagues in order to help rebuild key South Ossetian sectors

TSKHINAL, July 4 (Itar-Tass) — Russian aid to South Ossetia will be provided through an inter-agency commission that will include officials from key Russian agencies, presidential aide Tatyana Golikova said.

She met with South Ossetian President Leonid Tibilov on Wednesday, July 4. The Russian delegation, led by Golikova and Security Council Deputy Chairman Rashid Nurgaliyev, visited social facilities in Tskhinval and other parts of the republic.

Golikova said a decree on the creation of the inter-agency commission on coordination of work in the field of socio-economic development of Abkhazia and South Ossetia had been signed by President Vladimir Putin.

“The commission includes representatives of all key ministries that cooperated with you before. All decisions of this commission in the field of socio-economic development and security will be coordinated by me and Rashid Nurgaliyev,” Golikova said.
