MOSCOW, July 4 (Itar-Tass) — The police have detained several supporters of the Pussy Riot punk band at the Tagansky District Court in Moscow that considers deadlines for the lawyers to study the materials in the criminal case versus members of the Pussy Riot punk group Nadezhda Tolokonnikova, Maria Alekhina and Yekaterina Samutsevich.
The Pussy Riot supporters staged a performance, chanting “Go away” and “Freedom to Pussy Riot” near a big cage, where three people were locked up. They asked to change them for members of the punk group.
The police opened up the cage and detained people inside it. Meanwhile, several more people, including young women, were detained.
The police urged people to go out, explaining that the action is illegal.
The court has already passed a verdict to a suspect, obliging lawyers of Nadezhda Tolokonnikova to study the materials of the criminal case before July 9.
The court began to try similar requests for the lawyers of other defendants Maria Alekhina and Yekaterina Samutsevich,
