MOSCOW, July 3 (Itar-Tass) —— A security guard of a jewelry store in the south of Moscow has been hurt during a burglary into the store located at 26, Gen. Kuznetsov Street. The incident occurred at around 10.20 am Moscow time Tuesday, the press service of the Moscow Head Interior department told Itar-Tass.
Unidentified burglars broke into the shop, beat up a security guard, smashed out glass from the shop desks with jewelry, stole some pieces of jewelry and escaped, a specified report said.
A team of investigators has been working on the site. Police have begun search for the burglars.
Earlier reports said with reference to preliminary information that the security guard offered resistance, was wounded and hospitalized to Moscow hospital No 68.
