VLADIVOSTOK, July 2 (Itar-Tass) — All facilities necessary for power- and heat supply to the APEC-2012 summit are ready for operation.
Mini-power plants Severnaya (northern) and Central uninterruptedly supply electricity and heating to the campus of the Far Eastern Federal University on the Russkiy Island where the main events of the summit will take place in September, speakers told a conference held here by Russian Minister of Energy Alexander Novak.
Four facilities are about to be completed and will come into operation in the coming weeks, speakers said. Almost 30 new energy facilities have emerged in Vladivostok in preparation for the APEC summit. These include mini-TETS (central heating and power plants), substations, and power transmission lines.
