MOSCOW, July 1 (Itar-Tass) —— An ambulance arrival time in any place of the territories attached to Moscow on July 1, 2012, is no more than 15-17 minutes, Moscow city healthcare department head Georgy Golukhov said at the Sunday meeting in Troitsk chaired by Mayor Sergei Sobyanin and dedicated to the development of the new territories.
“Our ambulance service started working last night. Thirty-two ambulance teams are working already,” he said. “The ambulance teams had received 127 calls and 18 patients were hospitalized both locally and in the old Moscow.”
“Ambulance stations on the new attached lands are located so that it takes no more than 15-17 minutes to reach a patient,” he said.
Residents of the new territories will have the maximal access to the best clinics of Moscow. “Mostly, these are the clinics of southwestern, western and southern districts of Moscow. They can be taken to the city center if necessary,” he said.
The Moscow city limits grew by 148,864 hectares on July 1, 2012. Moscow now includes 21 municipalities: two city districts, Troitsk and Shcherbinka, and 19 towns and villages in the southwest, which have been a part of the Podolsk, Leninsky and Narofominsk districts of the Moscow region. Also Moscow blends some lands in the Odintsovo and Krasnogorsk districts of the Moscow region (Konezavod VTB, Rublyovo-Arkhangelskoye and Skolkovo). The attached territories have about 232,000 residents.
