SEOUL, July 1 (Itar-Tass) — The embassies of South Korea and Russia to Germany will employ in August one diplomat each, who will be responsible for issues of Korean unification, a spokesman for the South Korean Ministry of Unification reported on Sunday.
This was initiated by Minister of Unification Yu Woo-ik, who considers Russia and Germany key partners that can render assistance to official Seoul in a bid to unify two Koreas.
At the present moment, the ministry that is responsible for inter-Korean relations has sent its representatives to Washington, Tokyo and Beijing with the mission to contribute to the unification.
After the end of the Korean War of 1950-1953, North Korea and South Korea remain divided and locked in a military confrontation.
