Russia, Belarus to hold emergency safety drills in July

Russian specialists carefully study Belarus’ recent fire-fighting technologies

MINSK, June 30 (Itar-Tass) — Emergencies Ministries of Russia and Belarus will hold joint large-scale drills in July.

“In July we plan the joint large-scale drills to master emergency safety management,” Russian Emergencies Minister Vladimir Puchkov said at the talks with his Belarussian counterpart Vladimir Vashchenko on Friday.

“The two countries’ Emergencies Ministries have regular close relations. We have a joint scientific-technical council that studies research works, we have a joint collegium and control bodies,” Puchkov said.

The Russian minister also noted that the two countries have an experience of joint efforts in overcoming radiation accidents and disasters.
