MAKHACHKALA, June 29 (Itar-Tass) —— Two police officers were killed in the Khasavyurt district of Makhachkala. Their service-issue weapons are stolen, the republican police told Itar-Tass on Friday.
“The incident happened on a republican road at about 7:40 p.m. Moscow time. The police cruiser came under fire from another car. The policemen died instantly. Their weapons were stolen. The assailants escaped from the crime scene,” the police said.
The search for the killers has begun. A group of detectives and forensic experts is working on the incident site.
